Evaluation question 4

No.4 How did you use new technologies in the construction, research, planning and evaluation stages.

The group and i have used so many different types of technology in the construction , research, planning  and the evaluation stages of the production from my point of view I have learnt so many new skills though the production. But this has not come with its difficulties. In each of the 4 stages I have learnt some think new from a piece of technology. from the research part i have learnt how to use youtube more better like uploading videos and also find tutorials to help in different aspectects of the 4 sectors I have learnt how to use youtube now as a producer instead of being just a consumer of what was one there. where I think that new technology has helped me the most is after effects as i have learnt so many new skills form the program and without theses skills that i have learnt the trailer would not be as good as it is now. I have also learnt how to use the camera so much better and my skills have developed so much as at the start i did not know what to do and was always being told what to do but as the trailer took shape i started to take more of a leading role this is because i felt a lot more Contfent in using the equipment. The evaluation stages i have learnt a lot about what i have learnt through the project and can clearly see how my skills have come on i may have not learnt any new skills in this stages but it has help see what i have learnt and what i could of done better at.

Evaluation question 3

No.3 What have you learned from audience feedback?

The group has learnt allot from the audience feedback. The group got feed back in 2 main this was video feedback from the creative arts night and also peer feedback.below are 2 feedback video from the creative arts evening from the video back we instilly got the feeling that the trailer was a success. we got the same feeling from peer feedback as well we always got people asking "how did u do them effects" this is also always a good sign that are work  is that much of a higher standered that people do not how we do some of the things we do in the trailer. overall the feedback we have received positive has bed a this makes the group very proud of the project and that we have achieved are goal.

Evaluation question 2

no.2 How effective is the combination of your main and ancillary texts?

As a gruop we feel that we have tryed very hard to make sure that we have kept the same silmaliartes thought out the project. this included makeing sure that the ancillary task from each member of the group had some of the same aspects like the same text font for the Pelican Hunter we have also made sure that the pictures we have used for are ancilliry tasks are in the same genre makeing sure that pictures depicte what we are trying to sell to are audince. we have also tryied to implemente are main task into are ancillary task my geting the pictures on loctaion for the ancilary this has happen in both ways as we have made sure that we have used the pictures for are ancillary task into are trailer. i feel we have succsufuly done this through out are six areas the one main task and the five ancillary task and through out the six texts you can clearly see that the work has been together and that we have worked as a team to make sure that there is a clery clarite in are work and there is a transparensee in the groups work.

evaluation question 1

In what ways does your media product use develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

G.O.O.D productions have both developed and also challenged forms and conventions of real media products we have this done this in many ways thought the production we have always looked back through are research to make sure that we are keeping on track with the genre of film we picked and have not strayed to far of the genre. As the movie trailer is some think the group thought of from the start  this let us challenge real media products as we where never tied down to a script that could not be changed and because of this we have been able to change aspects of are trailer though out the production. That i feel would not be able to do if we picked a music video or decide to pick a film like Rambo that already has a film trailer. This has let us challenge are genre as we have taken aspects of other films that my not be the same genre as are film. where this can be seen form are trailer is the shard shot that we took from Mission impossible 4. Mission impossible is more action adventure film unlike ares which is a British gangster film. we feel that the trailer has kept with the darkness of the genre though out the film and this has kept the grittiness of the genre that we tried to show.

 This is the final trailer that was shown at the creative arts evenning we are really happy with what the group has done and it has really been a group project and we have all pulled are wieight and there has been ups and downs but we have pulled though and come out with a really good video

Feedback

We have been told we have a month to finish all are work we have got a lot a feedback this is through the creative arts showcase. We have a lot  to go through this is positive though as it will help us to improve all aspects of our work and overall this will help us get a better grade.

Creative arts showcase

I have just come back from the 6^th form creative arts showcase where are video was shown on the big screen. The event was really good as there where allot of guests that range in age this will really help us in feedback. We got a lot of feed back  though  videos and just talking to people face to face all of  the feedback will help us to see if are video did what it was suppose to do.

Tomorrow is the creative arts showcase this will be a really good event as it is the first time that are video will be shown to the public. We hope to get lots of feedback. We hope to do this through videos this is where people can tell us what they thought of film. We also hope to get some peer feed back.

Updated ancillary task

Here is my updated ancillary task this is the one will be put up on the creative arts showcase. AS you can see a lot has changed from my last ancillary task I have basically changed the whole designed. I feel because of this my work looks a lot better now because of it and as you can see below the major contrast from what it was to what it will be.

This is the trailer we have so far there is changes that need to be made but theses are quite simple and also a few shots that need to be added and some that need to be changed but we are very happy with the trailer we have so far

ancillary task update

last Wednesday are teacher looked at are work this included are ancillary tasks the other members in my group got 8-9 while mine was and 4 but with the help from the teachers and the rest of the group i am looking to getting the mark much higher and have already started to do this

the sceoned ancillary task finished

The sceoned ancillary task is now finished we did most of the work when all the group had study perioed together so all the of the group could give feed back becuse of this we feel that we have created a really good movie poster. the group is happy with the finished product.

Ancillary tasks text font

We are going to use the same text font that we have used through out the project. we have are photograph for the ancilary task also as its a group project we will be looking to do the ancillary task over a few days unlike for my other ancillary task it took me a period of time to complete the task fully.

In this blog i will show the final outcomes of what the makeup did to are charchters the shoots i took ment to use for ancilary tasks we tryed lots of different postions with the guns we had. we tryed different gun combos so we had a range of shots and postions so G.O.O.D had a wide range of shots to use. news report

Here is the scene of the news report we tired to get the right mise-en-scene we did this by the way we constructed the scene. we made sure we had the right props. to make the scene alfentic we produced a script for are actress to read this helped the scene to flow as it gave the scene structure. During these scene i took the pictures i tryed to get different angles i also got photos of some bloopers. At the bottom is the finished scene

work on my ancillary task 2

In my last blog about my 2nd ancillary task we looked at some film poster and took the good and bad points from them we have decied to go we a designed that is kind of like the Kick Ass film poster we want to have like kick ass a different main charchter on each poster we will create 2 one will have frank on the other will have petvo.

work on my sceond ancillary task

For my sceond ancillary G.O.O.D productions decided too do one single ancilary task that has been bought up in a previoulsy blog. for this ancillary task we are going to do a film poster below are some film posters that we have taken ideas from



we feel that these film posters standed out for the group all the poster had good points and bad points but as group we took the good points from each and we brought out some intresting points and ideas that we looking to put together to make a very good ancillary task





shard stunt

In the trailer we are going to try and implerment somethink that is common in action films that is a stunt we tryed to implerment what is seen in mission impossible 4 to create this scene we used after effects.

we tryed to do the same in are vidio we decied to use the shard that is in london we tryed to do the same thing as seen in the mission impossible 4 trailer. abouve is the completed shard stunt below are some green screen shots these where need to create the scene.

Work on ancillary tasks

Last week I started my work on my other ancillary task this is a film magazine front cover the magazine I chose was Sight and Sound I chose this magazine because I thought the design of the magazine was simple and also it used one key image. This is some think that I have carried out in my design of my magazine. My magazine is called Red carpet as it fits in with the film genre because of this the main colour for my magazine is red. My other colour is gold as it fits with the gilts and glamour of Hollywood.

The vidio below is the scene where Lucy is killed by Petvo  this scene is a very dark but we thought it had to be to fit with the genre of are film. The scene was shot at charlies house in this scence we had to make a few changes as at first the scene was to viloint to put in the trailer but we tone it down so it was at the right rateing for the trailer.

Filming of news scene

Last week we did the filming for are news report scene. We also did another scene that will end the trailer for this scene we tired many different camera angles for this scene we also try very hard to get the mise-en-scene of are film. We did this by adding iconography of what we  thought a Russian gangster would have at a home. Some of the items we had where gold plates vodka bottle also we had other items that made the desk look like a normal desk like an ashtray and a glass. The items for this scene where found in the studio and had a main role in finding the items. we  got the idea for this scence for scarface and we want to use the same style of gangster.

What we want are main character to look like

This post will look at how we thought of the idea of are main character to look like we had to do this before we started to film as we had to make sure we had the right mise-en-scene for are film. For insperassion we looked we at different action films that fitted are film sub genre. We got are main insperassion from expendamles and from the slvester sloyone character. we also got the inspiration from the expendables action figure as we thought it had a good representation of  what we want  are main character to look like. The character is well built and this is what we want in are character

Ancliry task progress

After a meeting with are teacher about are progress on are project we have decided to each do a film magazine front page and between us we will do 2 film posters. We have started to do drafts for the 2 ancliry task each member of the group doing 3 drafts for each ancliry task

This week I will be continuing work on my ancillary task  which is a movie poster below is what I have done so far. The things that may change is the text font so its fits with the films house style

police scene

Today we did a photo shoot was of me and Charlie and was of when charlie had been arrested i was the police office and charlie as Petov. we did this shoot because we thought we could use the footage to show how Petov was arrested and how he was as a character we want to show he evil but also that he did not care about being arrested we did this my making him smile when being arrested and we brought in the evil side by having him swear at the camera. I have also added photos of the group getting ready and also the group talking about the shoot
